DISTINCTIVELY HUMAN? MEANING‐MAKING AND WORLD SHAPING AS CORE PROCESSES OF THE HUMAN NICHE

Part of the task in studying human evolution is developing a deep understanding what we share, and do not with other life, as mammal, primate, hominin, members genus Homo. A key aspect this last facet gained via examination Homo across Pleistocene. By at least later Pleistocene began to habitually insert shared meaning into onto their world forming one bases contemporary abilities develop distinctive niche culture. Meaning-laden cultural dynamics constitute core ubiquitous semiotic ecosystem, which turn structures architecture complex niches construction processes that characterize humanity today. Here, I offer summary an argument for when how extensive capacities meaning-making particularly dynamic emerged.
